Miles at the Improv

Since the AU-LSU game didn't count, the utter ineptitude of LSU's offensive time management and game management was a much needed comic relief from the stress of life.
My sides still ache from the side-splitting laughter of watching LSU call timeout on 4th and 6, with the game - and really the season - on the line, then the Tigers not having the correct personnel on the field as the play clock wound down. Classic comedy stuff here boys!
Shepherd off, Shepherd in! Tolliver on right, no off the field, no lineup right next to LSU sideline!
And did you see the coaches gyrating and waving like Keystone Kops to "Dropped Passes" Tolliver to stay on the field, and Tolliver then lining up and running a half-assed route? Stop it, my sides are killing me!
Oh, and let's not forget the glazed look of confusion on the offensive skill players, especially Lee, as they looked to sideline with a "What play are we running!!??" deer-in-the-headlights look.
And then as the ball was hurriedly snapped to avoid a delay of game penalty, I thought, the only funnier thing could be "Leadfoot" Lee scrambling and trying to get the first down, instead of throwing to one of LSU's many incredibly fast and skilled offensive players.
And there Lee goes, so fast, so gracefully scrambling out of pocket.
Yes! He's going to make it!
And things slowed down like a dream, and my mind said to me, "Wouldn't it be hysterical if he runs out of bounds short of first down, instead of cutting up for first?"
No way, my funnybone would explode!
Praise God for DVR, so I can watch this classic comedy over and over.
Does anyone know when the LSU-AU game that counts is, by the way?

You say Young, I say Young

About brewing QB controversy from LSU's spring practices:
Miles was answering question about Jordan Jefferson's progress this year:
"..anytime you line up a young quarterback, those are the things he's got to get accomplished."
Okay, is he talking about young in age?
No, it seems he's referring to Jefferson as a young quarterback in terms of experience..
Problem is Coach, Jefferson's now a junior, which is no spring chicken when we're talking playing experience.

About Tolliver's hand injury

It's interesting, a guy who is a pretty good egg (what came first..Tolliver or the egg??), good student does the right things can make mistakes," Miles said. "Certainly his behavior is not to be tolerated. He will play a tremendous price. He will practice with that hand,(as opposed to leaving it in his locker...) sustain some running (what?), his personal embarrassment will be ongoing. But Terrance Toliver is a good person. I suspect(think ya meant expect...) we'll get by this. "
"We'll throw him balls when the read dictates, and he'll have to catch it.(as opposed to dropping it?) If he doesn't catch it we're going to bark at him.(wow, a dog show is in town!) He'll have to block with it. I didn't break it, he did. (Whew! I thought Miles was now into taking hammers to his receivers' hands. Hmmm, but that might explain Lafell's history of dropped balls...)"
